  • The product will also be distributed internationally through Ghana Missions abroad and globally acclaimed and strategically selected international tourism fairs/ exhibitions where travel trade professionals (buyers and sellers of holidays) and visitors (consumers of holidays) would congregate, talk-shop and transact holiday business. These fairs would include WTM London, ASTA Convention, WTM Africa, FITUR Madrid and ITB Berlin.
  • A vital aspect of the international distribution will be to provide key international airlines that fly to and from Accra with a supply of the hand-packs not only for distribution to passengers on board their flights, but also to adapt the video for use as in-flight info-tainment on their approach to Accra.
  • At the national level, The Ghana Cities Guide products will be distributed through the sector and allied ministries, the strategic implementing and other government agencies, donor agencies, travel trade operators, focal stakeholders, key attraction sites, institutions of tourism studies, a broad spectrum of the media and sponsors.
  • Attention will be paid to ensure that current online media is positively exploited. To this effect, aside this dedicated website, a Facebook page facebook.com/ghanacityguide and a twitter account @citiesghana has been launched and has already received good response.
  • Particular attention will be paid to ensure that current digital technology is positively exploited. Therefore, in addition to the conventional formats, such as, the compact hand-pack, stand-alone videos, pull-out maps, the internet etc., productive efforts is being made to up-load all the information relating to the City Guide onto creative and innovative flash-drives (in the form of credit cards, key holders, pendants, etc.), iPads, smart phones, tablets and wearable – all these with enhanced functionality.
